About Me
I am a fully licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and AAMFT Approved Supervisor. I have been supervising associate licensed clinicians both in my group practice and privately since 2020. I am also a small business owner with extensive experience in creating and launching businesses, including my own private practice and then my group practice. During the pandemic, I spent time creating an online course to help other therapists navigate the transition into private practice and started a Facebook community that has grown to over 900 clinicians. It was during this time that I also transitioned from a solo practitioner into a group practice owner.
I am on a mission to help new therapists learn the ropes, get excellent supervision, and be rooted in the family systems lens to help their clients progress. I have found that I really enjoy helping other therapists, both in the therapy room and as small business owners, and therefore began to use my teaching skills to offer both supervision and business coaching for private practice development.

as a supervisor
“Relational/Systemic Supervision is the practice of developing the clinical competencies and professional growth of the student as a trainee, consistent with the relational/systemic philosophy, ethics and practices of marriage and family therapy profession” (COAMFTE, 2017, p. 2-3). As a former educator and a therapist who utilizes psychoeducation consistently in my own client caseload as a way to help clients understand and enact change, I see my goals for supervision as similarly established. I embarked on training for supervision with the goal of using those educator skills to help new therapists in the field become rooted in the systemic models that they were taught in graduate school and to learn how to apply the concepts to their own work as therapists. Enhancing clinical skills ensures that the clients that my trainees see are receiving the best care possible. By ensuring both professionalism and ethical conduct in the field through focusing on how to maintain professionalism in the room with clients and exploring ethics of practice in supervisory sessions, I am ensuring that the trainees are constantly thinking about their roles as professionals and exploring the ethics of their actions in that role. In focusing on these three areas, I am ensuring that I am aiding in the development of competent and thoughtful MFTs.

as a coach
Starting my own private practice has literally transformed my life.
I've experienced first hand what it feels like to transition from a demanding schedule of working in both agency and group settings into being my own boss, making my own hours, and getting to keep ALL the money I bring in.
More than anything else, I want to share what I've learned with you so that you can do the exact same thing!
If you are fully licensed or almost there, if you have always wanted to be able to do your own thing and make an income reflective of the work that you do, then you at least owe it to yourself to take a plunge into what your life could look like if you had your own practice.
I will be there as your cheerleader, accountability buddy, and mentor to help you master all of the steps involved and understand all the processes that need to be in place to have a thriving, successful, and easy practice.
as a human
I am a mom to two amazing teenagers and an adorable but infuriating American Foxhound named Sally. I love to read, see live music, and cook. I am an avid snowboarder and tennis player, although I am not particularly skilled at either endeavor. Vermont is my favorite place and fall is my favorite season. I love to do anything creative and/or business-related. I grew up with entrepreneurial parents who modeled that for me and instilled in me a passion for creating that I can't seem to outgrow no matter how old I get!
